About Kate Sylvan
I write romance filled with impossible choices, quiet heroes, devastating betrayals, and the kind of endings that make you want to reread the story just to catch the little things you missed. Whether set in the fictional East Coast town of Hawthorne Bay or the epic fantasy realms of Theralune and Farreth, my novels explore love and loss, sacrifice and redemption, found family, and the extraordinary hope hidden within ordinary courage.
When I'm not writing or working (my day job is graphic & web design) I love spending time with my husband, adult children, two rescue dogs, and three spoiled cats. Naturally, I am an avid reader, and also enjoy cooking, and walking or swimming as the weather permits.
A note about generative AI: ALL of my written content, whether in my books or online (to include chapters, short stories, excerpt scenes, song lyrics, website copy, emails, newsletters, social media posts -- complete with genuine typos!, etc.), are 100% written by me, Kate Sylvan, a real human under a nom de plume.
However, I do utilize generative AI to create photos, illustrations, music, and even videos to accompany my writing. All are crafted and developed by me using professional-tier (license-able) plans from a variety of platforms, including: Leonardo, MidJourney, Suno, and Grok. After which, I further edit my creations with Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, Audition, and PremierPro. None of the artwork or music is styled after specific artists or studios, but rather capture my creative vision and style preferences.
